We made french toast with homemade syrup. Thanks mom for the recipe. They don't have maple flavoring here but we tried the butter and some of the vanilla powder. The kids loved it. It was like being at Cracker barrel. Okay not really, but close. It was definitely a highlight.

The french toast looks delicious!! I am glad the syrup worked out for you. When Gary gets there, he has some maple flavoring from us, if it didn't get broken. Dad wrapped it in some of your washcloths in hopes it would survive the airlines.
We have the same cups! Ikea!
