The Church of Oprah Exposed

Okay...I have been waiting for someone to say something about this STUPID book that Oprah is promoting. It is unbelievable the fact that we as Christians have let it this go this far. I haven't watched Oprah in ages... not for any specific reason but now, I feel convicted not to. I remember as a kid Christians somehow got Phil Donahue off the air. I don't know what it will take, but Oprah is in for a fall by promoting this belief system. Please get the word out. She has been deceived many years ago and has held on to a lie. Please leave a comment. I want to know how you feel.

Hi Becky,
I'm from England and not aware of this story but it's important that individuals have the right to express their own beliefs.
As Optah said on the video it's all about loving and respecting other people snd not believing in God doesn't necessarily make you a bad person.
What makes you a bad person (in my opinion) is denying someone their beliefs. We should not impose our will on anyone just to make them believe in what we believe.
I'm sure God sees faults in all of us and will forgive those that transgress. Surely, he is the only one who can decide what is right or wrong.

Jesus said "I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE. NO ONE COMETH UNTO THE FATHER BUT BY ME."John 14:6
Romans 10:13 says"For whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved."
Oprah would have you believe that you are your own God, that you can "save" yourself, that heaven is a state of mind...
Obviously she puts a lot of "faith" in this new evil book. Yet she discounts MY faith in the True and Living and ONLY God. Her saying and believing this is to me like her coming on her show and saying that she has decided the sky is no longer blue, but yellow. She would have millions of lost, blinded people follow her just because of who she is. Only this is eternity and frankly, she is leading these lost straight to hell. Which is a real place. Not my imagination.
You are right Terry, people have the right to their own beliefs. But what you believe does matter. There is a right and a wrong. God will love and forgive those who ask. But the Bible, a book that will outlast Oprah's latest book club selection, is plain that there is only one way to God, through His Son, Jesus Christ. My prayer is that somehow, Oprah and her "followers" will come to the TRUTH. But I will not ever watch her show again.

Oprah will say and/or do anything to increase the wealth of her name. and to think, it was all because of the word "jealous" (which was more than likely taken out of context). I researched (googled) this and found what the preacher might have meant by this.

I found a great (however long) answer to this, and it is located here:
http://www.bible.org/page.php?page_id=240

Here is yet another link that directly relates to the Oprah statement of God's jealousy:

Becky: I hope that this helps. Thank you for posting this. It helped my walk to do a little research & learn some great truths along the way.

Bec,

I couldn't even finish the video. I have heard it many time on Way of the Master Radio, but watching just makes it worse. I have never liked Oprah, and it seems like she was just biding her time until her fame would allow her to expose this False teaching. Eckhard said "I don't even think about the afterlife". That must be nice, that is the only way man can rationalize living a life with out consequence and rules. What we do to justify our actions.

Becky,
Thanks for posting the video to make even more people aware. I just saw it yesterday and was super challenged that Oprah will not have a place in our home anymore.

Hey Becky, I am right with you on this one. We have taken a back seat as Christians and continue to let things go because they do not pertain to us. We must speak out about these issues and make our views known. Something she said makes me almost laugh. She says that if your God is in a belief then it is not God but yet she says whatever your way is the right way. Can we say contradicting! Well anyway I have been turned off by Oprah for a long time now. Thanks for getting the word out.

I have watched the Oprah show for several years, not because I liked her, but I liked some of the informative shows she had, like Dr. Oz, Dr. Phil, and makeover shows. Yesterday, was the last show I will watch of hers. I can not watch her ever again because of my Christian convictions. I had no idea she was promoting such things. Thanks for bringing this to our attention. My heart aches for the millions of people she is leading astray. I assumed the book she was promoting was some weird strange philosophy, but I had not taken the time to check it out. May the Lord forgive me . I will be more on my toes from now on. I will also not be watching her new show "The Big Give" or anything else she has on TV. Linda H.

First of all, thanks for the soup.

Secondly, the fact that God is a jealous God is a good thing. God simply wants our lives to Glorify Him(which He deserves), not ourselves.

Lastly, the fact that Oprah couldn't accept that God is a jealous God completely contradicts her view itself. I will attempt to explain... Oprah claims that her view takes God "out of the box" because He is sovereign, but in reality, Oprah is placing Go "into the box" by shaping Him into something that makes better sense to her. The entire "new age" religion is a contradiction. How can a sovereign, unchangeable God (yes He is both, why would a sovereign God need to change) be constantly conformed into something that best fits your personality(talk about limiting God). The motivation of the "new age" religion is clearly selfishness, not God-honoring! Don't be fooled.

I was literally yelling at the computer while Oprah was yapping.

The Gospel according to Oprah! Scary. She almost sounds Christian to some who do not know the God of the Bible.

"Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil." Eph. 5:14-16

Awake up, Christians!!!

2 passages came to mind after reading this:
2 Peter 2:1-3
1."But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. 2. And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed. 3. By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber."

The greatest work of satan is the misrepresentation of the truth.
-John MacArthur

2 Timothy 3:1-7
1. "But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2. For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3. unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4. traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5. having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! 6. For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, 7. always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

2 Timothy ways heavy on my heart as I think of Oprah's biggest "followers" are women. They "creep into our households" (by way of Oprah?) "and make captives of gullible women". I think this verse is aimed at women because we are the ones who are at home most. We are responsible for what we let into our homes day after day. I know I am not a wife or mom yet but it makes me think, what a responsibility we as women have to know truth so we are able to guard our households against what is not.
