HAPPY RETIREMENT DAD!!!!!!!!

Congratulations Dad!! What an amazing man you are. I know we don’t talk about it much but we love you and are so proud to be a part of your heritage. When I think back about your job at C.U. it is the job you have had since before I came along. In all that time I have never heard you complain about having to go to work. Your job has allowed us (mark and I to go to college, pay for a few cars, send us to camp, a much needed epidural while I was in labor, put food on the table, kept a roof over our head and clothes on our back. And probably more things than I even know about. I do know what sacrifices you made to give to our church and to missions around the world because you knew how important that was. You are humble man of integrity, morals, and ethics. (And yes morals and ethics are different) What an example you have set for us and our children. The value in that is too high to count.
You have proven that there is no place to wine at your circumstance. Life isn’t always fair and the thing to do is to know that tomorrow is a new day. You fought the fight of cancer and beat it twice!! You have taken care of mom when she has needed you. I have watched you be a great husband, father, and Paw Paw. So this week… this day… we honor you and your faithfulness to the Lord and to your family and to the job that you have served for so many years. You are quite a man and we are so thankful to have just been a part of that. Thank you doesn’t seem like enough, but thank you Dad for serving in this job. WE love you and appreciate all you have given to us. So… Happy Retirement!!!

What a sweet tribute to your dad!! Congrats on your retirement, Mr Hillenburg. When I was younger, I hung out at your house and always felt welcome and had fun, so thanks!!

Congratulations, George! I'm a bit envious, but I only have less than 5 years left.
Thanks to you and Linda for your freindship and prayers this past year.
