Natalie broke her hand

You never know what will happen in a day. Plans can change so much or things can happen in a split second that change things drastically. Well Natalie decided to go rock climbing yesterday and fell as the cement bird bath fell with her. I wasn't outside to see it but that is what we can gather. Kent did a good job as he ran in the house and said," it's an emergency, Natalie is hurt . I could tell right away that something wasn't right. She was so brave. The doctor said that it wouldn't need a cast. It broke in the right place and will heal fast. 3-5 weeks. There is also a chip out as well in the middle finger bone in the center of her hand. She had mentioned wanting a cast like Barretts only pink. We instead have an ace bandage and tylenlol with codeine. The doc also said that if it was an adult he would have cast it because adults try to over do it and go ahead and do things like try to play baseball. She will know her limits and won't try to over use it. Anyway, she is doing very well and it could have been so much worse. I know that there are guardian angels working over time with our kids. And any of you who know our kids know this to be true. It was a little over a year ago that Natalie broke her nose. That could have been so much worse as well. It is something that pops in your head to thank God that we have such great options in America to choose a good place to take sick and hurt kids. When we get to Italy that will be one of the first things we will find, the hospital and a good pediatrician. You never know when you will need one.
